Their teaching technique is very down to earth and easy to follow making their classes an enjoyable experience to students of all levels. Arlene and Francisco are longtime friends, dedicated salsa partners and in love with the dance that has brought them so much joy. More biographical information can be found on their website at http://salsaferoz.net/.

Class 1: Beginner

No dance experience needed.

This class is your introduction to basic concepts of lead and follow, footwork, single left and right turns and crossbody leads. Timing and rhythm of the music will be introduced as well as dance holds and proper dance etiquette. Each class builds on the moves learned the previous week, and as such we recommend that you attend the entire series from the beginning.

Class 2: Intermediate

Prior dance experience needed. Minimum requirement is completion of beginner salsa series (8 weeks).

In this class we will teach you combinations using left and right 1 1/2 turns. We will focus on lead, follow and turning techniques so that you can become more comfortable on the dance floor. We may also introduce intricate patterns using multiple spins and incorporating styling. A new pattern will be introduced weekly. This is a drop in class so you can join at any time during the series.

Class 3: Advanced / Technique

Several years of salsa dance experience needed. Participation is at the discretion of the club management and instructors.

This class caters for competent social dancers who wish to enhance their technique and learn advanced styling. Please note that this class is strongly recommended for people who wish to participate in the performance team.
